Put your feet up...

Goa-ahh!

This one is of Candolim beach and the wooden 'couches' that are used by a lot of firangs to have their sunbaths. As the day draws to a close and the sun has lost most of its sheen, around 5 pm, these tourists change from their bikinis into evening wear, cotton kurtas and shorts, and head towards their rooms near the beach. Evenings are spent chatting up in any of the coffee shops and watering holes lining the road leading to the beach. The shack owners, in the meanwhile, stack up the couches one on top of the other for the night, with the matresses in between. Between 5 pm and sundown, the beach takes on a different activity, with firangs flying kites, or playing a friendly game of 'pad-ball' with the locals. Sometimes, one can see a family of four, tiny tots in tow or a pet dog sometimes, playing in the sand with toys or making shapes in the sand.

The image has a lot of noise, but of the many similar ones I have, this one reflected the hues of the dusk better than others.
